Meet Areej Sous, a Bethlehem Univ student who has decided to bash Israel and what she describes as “educational apartheid.”
The video is for a group calling themselves The American Anthropological Association, which is voting on the boycott of Israeli academic institutions.

There’s plenty of ridiculous things in this video, such as:
- Her claim she can never be a full citizen of Israel – palestinian residents of East Jerusalem can apply for Israeli citizenship.
- Her claim her textbooks would not contain the word “Jerusalem” – do I even need to dignify that with a response? (In any event, the reason the textbooks are censored at all is they have been found to delegitimize the State of Israel as well as “inculcate values of hatred, violent confrontation, jihad and martyrdom, absence of conciliation, absence of peace, ignoring the map of Israel and the existence of Israel”)
- Israel cannot just arbitrarily decline to renew her blue ID as she implies. According to the Association for Civil Rights in Israel, “the permanent residency of the population of East Jerusalem has been granted by law, and is the same in every regard to the status of other permanent residents in Israel. The High Court of Justice has ruled that this is a status that has been granted by right and not on sufferance. The annulment of such status is an individual matter based on the relocation of one’s center of life from Israel for a prolonged period of time, or the acquisition of citizenship or residency outside of Israel. A person living in an area where Israeli law prevails cannot lose their status.”
Besides lying about key facts, Areej Sous is also not disclosing a big one.
She works for an Israeli company!
According to her LinkedIn profile, she has been an account manager at Tradeo since 2015.
Tradeo has its headquarters in Tel Aviv.
And I know this is her LinkedIn profile, because how many Areej Sous’ can there be at Bethlehem University?
So there you have it. Yet another example of a BDS-hole lying and being a huge hypocrite in bashing Israel, biting the hand that feeds her.
