Clearly, so many Americans – and in fact people around the world – are still reeling from Donald Trump’s election victory. I personally found his behavior to be boorish and disgusting and not becoming of a leader, so if I was American I likely would not have voted for him. I would not have voted for Hillary either, mind you.
But I am a firm believer in democracy. As Winston Churchill famously said
Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.…
So I would accept the result. The people have spoken, at least according to the American electoral system.
While so many are so utterly disturbed by Trump’s victory, they seem to be ignoring something way more disturbing.
The reactions to it, especially by those on the left who profess to be about love
But regarding that word love, I don’t think it means what they think it means.
They detest Trump’s statements deemed to be racist, divisive and putting down minorities. Yet putting down the US to the extent of burning the flag – that’s ok?!
As for suggesting Trump is making the US a dangerous place..

Show us how it’s done!
And call Trump racist by all means..
And suggest his large following of KKK supporters means he hates Jews (even though that is clearly wrong). But if you are going to do that, don’t out yourselves as Jew haters who oppose the Jewish homeland.
And last but not least, Trump was elected in fair elections. You are not going to accept that result because it is not the result you wanted?
So yeah, many are disturbed by the election results. But if you are more disturbed by the results than by some of the reactions to it, you might be part of the problem.
