WATCH: CUFI Making A Big Noise About Murder Payments

Christians United For Israel (CUFI) has launched a campaign against US funding going to the Palestinian Authority (PA) and used to reward terrorists.

The website is Stop Money For Murder.

Britain has already suspended payments to the Palestinian Authority, for which the Israeli press gave Kay Wilson a huge amount of deserved credit. Lets see if the USA can follow suit and end these barbaric rewards for murder.

  1. I’m open to supporting the proposed Taylor Force Act, but I’d like to know a lot more about how American taxpayer dollars are actually spent by the Palestinian Authority and what safeguards exist to ensure the money is spent on humanitarian efforts. I am deeply suspicious of a group like CUFI, and suspicious that only Republicans are supporting the bill so far. It’s still early in the legislative process, but obviously if the new Trump Administration gets behind the bill, it really won’t matter what Obama’s State Department or the Democrats in Congress think about the merits of the bill, since Republicans will be in complete control of the American government on Jan. 20, 2017.

It’s interesting to note the reaction to this bill that Breitbart readers had yesterday when Joel Pollack posted an item much like Brian’s here. While there were only 18 comments posted as of early am on Nov. 29th, about half of the comments took the opportunity to attack Israel or Jews in general. So for those who see no signs of anti-Semitism among the Breitbart readership, you might not be looking hard enough.

    1. There is no safeguards whatsoever right now.

The reason only the Republicans are supporting the Taylor Force Act is because the Dumbacraps support terrorism and Islamofascist genocide. They are owned by the Muslim Brotherhood.

      1. This is against my better judgment, but I’m willing to try to have a discussion with you on this subject if we can agree it be civil, free of insults, profanity-laced personal attacks, and that it be fact-based.

As I said in my earlier comment, I do not know enough about the safeguards the Obama Administration has put into place to oversee how the Palestinian Authority spends American taxpayer funds intended for humanitarian aid. This proposed legislation is so new, that I can find very little discussion about it with the usual interested parties (i.e. AIPAC, Israel government, American foreign policy think tanks, etc.). It is worthwhile to point out that the last time an effort
was made to implement a total withdrawal of American financial aid to the PA, (Sen. Rand Paul’s efforts in response to the completion of the Fatah-Hamas Palestinian unity government in 2014), AIPAC opposed the bill believing it was not in Israel’s best interest. While various members of the Israeli government have encouraged better oversight from the Americans and the EU in the aid provided to the PA, the Netanyahu government has not supported complete withdrawal of foreign humanitarian aid to the PA.

Since money is fungible, it makes no difference in the end how it is earmarked. Even if the aid money merely allows the PA to pay its blood pensions from other funds that might otherwise be used for humanitarian purposes, it should be cut off. I am in full support of CUFI.

          1. I’m thinking there is a reason why AIPAC and the Netanyahu government are not pressing the Obama Administration to fully de-fund the Palestinian Authority of all humanitarian aid. I’m thinking that total de-funding would have an adverse impact on Israel in the form of more Palestinian terror, not less. I don’t know this for a fact, it’s just a supposition on my part.

            1. In the short term, doing anything to ruffle the feathers of the “relatively” stable PA would destabilize things and create some problems, sure.
But either one risks doing that, or one continues funding the wholesale murder of innocent civilians.
That the Israeli government is unwilling to spend political capital to try and convince the US to do any particular thing simply means that Israel has prioritized its political capital toward other concerns, like maintaining its qualitative military edge so Iran and co. can’t wipe her out. If Netanyahu and his political allies were to be convinced that Trump really had their back, and would react positively to a more assertive Israeli government, I think you’d see some changes of Israeli policy on such matters.
That said, I don’t trust Trump even as far as I throw him.

              1. We are going to find out fairly soon what Trump really believes and doesn’t believe by what he actually does and doesn’t do as president. There has been a lot of political posturing concerning American actions of the Obama Administration in support of Israel. It has been all too easy just to blame Obama for being anti-Israel no matter what actions his administration has taken over the last 8 years. Now we’re going to find out what actions the Republicans will actually take and what actions the Netanyahu government will encourage that actually helps Israel. It will all be in their hands very soon and they will be celebrated or condemned for what happens next to Israel and American-Israeli relations.

                1. We shall see indeed.
Although, I’d have to say that what one does, does not necessarily indicate what one believes, especially when it comes to politicians.

If the Republicans condemned the murder of Jews, you’d object because it came from the Republicans.
FYI, the PA claims to segregate US funds so that they are not used to reward the murderers. They then launder the US aid money through other affiliated organizations and funnel the funds back to paying the imprisoned murderers.

      1. Democrats and Republicans routinely condemn the murder of Israelis, including Israeli Jews. I’m not sure where you’re getting your information. I’m keen to know why AIPAC and the Netanyahu government do not strongly support the total de-funding of humanitarian assistance by the American government to the PA. Do you have any insight on this matter?

The bottom line is, it doesn’t matter. The PA needs to pay its terrorist militia employees, pay benefits to its loyalists, it needs to line Abbas’s pockets and those of his direct supporters, it needs to pay the expenses of basic governance so the people don’t revolt, and it pays inactive terrorists in Israeli prisons to reward their actions and encourage others to do the same.
The PA can take every cent of US aid and genuinely spend it only on the governance budget – but that just frees up other funds, say from Japan, or Germany, or the UN, for distribution to those other, less savory purposes.
Money is money. It’s not a question of where an individual dollar goes. It’s a matter of what the organization you’re supporting is doing with its money.
