This would almost be hard to believe if it wasn’t, given the increasing Jew hatred we are seeing across the globe.

A hotel in the Swiss tourist town of Arosa was documented by a Haredi Israeli family positing signs singling out Jews throughout the facility, Israel’s Channel 2 reported Monday.
The hotel, Aparthaus Paradies, received good recommendations online, however upon arriving, the family told Channel 2, they encountered several signs they considered antisemitic.
“To our Jewish Guests: Please take a shower before you go swimming and although after swimming. If you break the rules, I’m forced to cloes the swimming pool for you. Thank you for understanding: Ruth Thomann. [sic]”one of the signs said.
Another sign said “To our Jewish guests: You are allowed to approach the fridge between the hours: 10.00-11.00 in the morning and 16.30-17.30 in the evening. I hope you understand that our team does not like to be disturbed every time.”
The father of the family in an interview with Channel 2 said, “We told her we are Jews and she said that many Jews arrive during this period and gave us everything we need for the baby,” adding that she was nice when the family arrived.
“No-one addressed her because we didn’t want to start a confrontation,” the father added. He noted that there were several Jewish guests staying at the hotel, mostly from the UK, US and Belgium.
Here is the hotel’s website. The name Ruth Thomann does appear at the very bottom, which I realize is not definitive proof she was behind the signs.
Which is why I decided to call the hotel’s number. And after getting the busy signal a few times, a woman (Ruth) answered.
When I asked if she speaks English, she said yes, and started explaining herself immediately – clearly she has been contacted by many others about this.
Her excuse for the signs? Some Jewish people did not shower before swimming.
When I asked why she singled out Jews and did not just place generic signs for all guests, she did not seem to have an adequate answer. She repeatedly said “My Jewish guests are very happy.”
The entire conversation she was very polite to me, despite my questions. When I got off the phone with her, I actually felt like I had to take a shower.
In my opinion, this woman is prejudiced against Jews, but is so out of touch with reality*, does not even realize what she did was highly offensive – and she still wants Jewish customers!
Update: Elsewhere it is being reported that she has now admitted she “used the wrong words.” She did not admit this to me in our phone call.
*The hotel is not even on Facebook, an almost must for any business these days, reinforcing my opinion that Ruth Thomann is really out of touch with the world
