BDS-Holes Open GoFundMe to Cover Legal Costs…With Video Contradicting Their Testimony
Three BDS-holes – Stavit Sinai, Ronnie Barkan and Majed Abusalama – are schnorring for money (€9,000) to covering “the mounting legal fees as well as the educational activities that lie ahead” in the wake of their upcoming trial on charges of trespassing and assault (hat tip: Bikorti).
Here is what they claim happened.
We are 3 BDS activists who are facing our second trial (Aug. 3rd, 2020) on trumped up charges of trespassing and assault, for protesting the actions of apartheid representative MK Aliza Lavie in 2017.
—
We confronted Lavie as she arrived at the Humboldt University in Berlin, on an explicit anti-BDS propaganda tour — doing public relations in collaboration with the Israeli foreign ministry in the attempt to justify Israeli racist and criminal policies against the Palestinians. During our protest we read out loud from Richard Falk and Virginia Tilley’s UN report, which squarely accuses Israel of practicing The Crime of Apartheid — as a form of an institutionalized regime that constitutes a crime against humanity.
But here’s the thing: the nincompoops have included video of the incident that shows them to be lying!
“Trumped up charges of trespassing and assault” – the BDS-holes have clearly entered the lecture hall to engage in conduct intended to disrupt or obstruct a lawful activity. That is trespassing. As for the assault, you can clearly see Sinai swinging her arms and behaving in a threatening manner here
“We confronted Lavie as she arrived at the Humboldt University in Berlin” – the footage clearly shows they are confronting her during her lecture in the hall, not “as she arrived.”
And here is what they don’t tell us.
Barkan, who rejects the existence Israel, stormed an Israel event at Humboldt University in 2017. At least three highly aggressive pro-BDS activists lashed out at Israeli survivor of the Holocaust Deborah Weinstein and MK Aliza Lavie (Yesh Atid) at the Humboldt University event. The event had been titled, “Life in Israel – Terror, Bias and the Chances for Peace.”
In 2017, Barkan and Majed Abusalama, two of the activists who disrupted the Humboldt event, were barred from speaking at BDS events in the city of Oldenburg due to antisemitism.
Stavit Sinai, a third BDS activist at the Humboldt event, was removed from the lecture hall as she “swung [her fists] wildly around her and [at the] attendees,” according to a statement from the pro-Israel German-Israel Friendship Society. She “continuously attempted to reenter the lecture hall and pounded on the door,” said the group.
Here’s hoping they do not raise the money and are found guilty.
