Ilhan Omar’s ‘Jeremy Corbyn Irony’ Moment

Yesterday, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar tweeted the following:

She was supposedly mocking congressman Steve King, a far-right member of the Republican party. I assume she was mocking the part about far-left agitator George Soros and not the first part of his tweet, which seems like something she would herself point out in order to demonize the Jewish state.

But those unaware of King’s politics could easily have come to the conclusion that she was agreeing with him – especially given their mutual hobby of Israel-bashing.

And that is what apparently happened, leading to this:

By “everyone”, I assume she means those sensitive people of a specific religion, who would take offence at what might look like yet another potshot at the Jewish state (as opposed to the “some people” who “did something,” who were members of a different religion). You know, those folk who do not have a sense of irony according to Ilhan’s friend Jezza Corbyn.

Alas, there is nothing funny about antisemitism nor is there anything funny about Ilhan Omar and the hatred she represents.
