Doing What It Takes

This is Molt Laka, a 19-year-old Israeli who was previously rejected from joining an IDF combat unit due to his profile being too low.

Molt Laka

The reason it was low was due to him being overweight; of course, to join a combat unit one needs to be in physical shape beforehand. Instead of taking the easy way out by giving up, whining on social media, or contacting the media like some people might, he decided to put himself through a pre-military preparatory school (in this case מכינת ימין אורד – הדף הרשמי). They prepared him to the point that he was accepted recently into the IDF Tzanchanim (Paratroopers) Brigade, which is a serious combat unit.

This is why you should never underestimate yourself or take no for an answer. If you want to do something, you can find a way.

Mazal tov brother!
