A few days ago Zionist Shark posted a smoking hot letter from Denis MacEoin to the Archbishop of Westmister, Vincent Nichols. The letter took the Archbishop to task for singling out only Israel for criticism of it’s treatment of Christians (who are fighting the compulsory purchase of their land to make way for the security fence that has saved the lives of hundreds or thousands) in his Christmas Mass sermon screed.
Matthew Harris, a long time friend of Israel who is the Vice-Chairman of the Liberal Democrat’s Friends of Israel group, received the following reply from the Archbishop for the letter that he also wrote:
Dear Mr Harris,
Thank you for your email, sent on Christmas Day.
As you know my reference to Beit Jala was very brief and factual. I did not criticise the State of Israel, but simply stated that a court action was beginning, that very day, in which families were trying the defend the land that they have farmed, some for 700 years. It was not a lengthy statement, simply a request for prayers.
Farmers in England have had roads and railways driven across their land with compulsory purchase orders for generations. Is that any different? Does Israel not compensate those who prove adequate title?
I chose to mention that single event not only because is directly affects the district of Bethlehem but also because the court case was beginning on that day. That makes it a unique moment.
There are, of course, threats and actions against Christians in many parts of the world, and threats and actions against the State of Israel.
So that “single event” was more noteworthy than literally dozens of Christians being killed or having their Churches attacked by Muslims all across the middle east? Here’s a handy-dandy list of all the Muslim malfeasance toward Christians just from Nov 28 to Dec 28 2011.
BUT, Archbishop, you didn’t choose to mention any of that did you?
You will know that the position of the Holy See, and hence of the Catholic Church, is that of recognising the State of Israel and seeking a solution of two viable states. It is the pursuit of this which is most important.
Thank you for writing to me,
With good wishes,
+Vincent Nichols
So there you have it. And here, from the liberal bible, Huff Po, by the high priest of liberal defence of Israel, Alan Dershowitz, is his “Rule 5” to indicate “anti-semitsm” which I now only refer to by it’s sane name, Jew hatred:
5. Singling out only Israel for sanctions for policies that are widespread among other nations, or demanding that Jews be better or more moral than others because of their history as victims.
So basically the good Archbishop singled out the only country in the entire Middle East TO which Christians are fleeing because, uniquely in the Middle East, Israel has a reliable legal system that delivers true blind justice as opposed to, say, Syria with it’s two to the head legal system.
Hey, Archbishop, you are a Jew hater.
