Israeli Security Services In War On Christmas #HowCNNWouldReport

We’ve been having riots in Israel lately, you know, just normal riots. However the rioters have added fireworks to their arsenal and this is a bit of a worry. Those things are dangerous.

And now Israeli security services have uncovered a massive shipment of knives, tasers, fireworks and other very nasty stuff. All packaged up and labeled as  Christmas decorations for the Christian Arabs. So I guess now we can start early on the stories of how our security services will be the Grinch who stole Christmas.

Update: I’m adding a few more thoughts on this find as they’ve come to me.

  1. Importing from China by sea takes weeks. You have to find the source, go back and forth on the price and specifications and eventually pay them (usually with a wire transfer to a Chinese bank).
  2. Then you need to have a shipping company collect the packed goods. If you’re planning on doing something sneaky like declaring a false manifest you probably have to be in China and sort things out personally. Getting that stuff on the boat with a false manifest takes money and bribes and is risky.
  3. This is planned way in advance. It’s not some spur of the moment thing.
  4. So all this nonsense about an unplanned intefada or lone wolf attacks: this is a very strong indicator that big money and power is being directed at causing massive unrest.

Here’s the report:

A massive amount of fireworks, knives and Tasers police believe were meant in part to be used by rioters clashing with police were seized last week by Jerusalem District detectives and officers from the Tax Authority and the Ashdod Port Customs, police announced on Thursday.

Police said the seizure came after Jerusalem detectives ran an undercover investigation along with the tax and customs officials, during which they were able to track and seize two shipping containers which came to Ashdod by way of China. The fireworks were hidden among Christmas decorations inside the containers, which were intended for Arab residents of the largely Christian east Jerusalem neighborhood of Beit Hanina.

Last Tuesday, three of the suspects arrived at the Ashdod Port and claimed the containers, and then drove with them on trailers to a storehouse in Afula, where they planned to unload the merchandise. They were then arrested at the spot before unloading the containers, as was the owner of the storehouse.

Inside the containers police said they found 18,000 fireworks of the restricted 20mm variety, as well as 5,200 commando knives, 4,300 flashlights that can be modified into improvised Tasers, 5,500 Tasers, and 1,000 swords.

Fireworks have become a highly popular tool of rioters facing off with police and soldiers during riots in the Arab sector, in particular in East Jerusalem. The firecrackers, including large roman candles, are pointed horizontally towards police and soldiers and fired like ammunition. Some of the larger gauge fireworks can penetrate police protective gear at close range, including their plastic shields. All can cause severe burns and if some of the larger ones hit on the right spot, such as the neck, they can potentially be fatal.

And just for reference, here’s what it looks like when rioters (this in London) use fireworks as a weapon.

  1. Somebody please explain why the Christians of the Middle East have sided with the Muslims who persecute them rather than the Jews who protect them. Is it so much worse to be condescended to by a Jew than to be beaten & robbed by a Muslim?

    1. @werewife
not sure whether the christians have taken side or whether some muslim who happen to have an address in the neighbourhood is involved there.
I tend to think the latter.

Plenty of Christian Arabs have sided with the anti-Israel terrorists. One of them, Geo. Habash, Y”Sh, headed the PFLP for years.
But what makes you think Christian Arabs had anything to do with this? This stuff was purchased in China, hardly a stronghold of Christianity.
