How One Attack Proves Everything The Media Tells You Is A Lie

There are a number of assumptions about the Israel-Arab Conflict that the media has been so insistent on, so quick to repeat ad nauseam in every news article and story they publish, that one can almost forgive the average person for being taken in by their false narrative. But every so often, an event comes around that so completely demolishes the media’s precious narrative that we must force the media to stop and take notice.

This past week gave us just such an event.

On Friday, 16 September, 28-year-old Saeed Hayel al-Amro attempted to stab Israeli border policemen at the Damascus Gate in eastern Jerusalem.

This Palestinian must have been driven to murder out of desperation or fear of Israeli settlements, the media cries!

Not at all. Amro wasn’t even Palestinian, he was a Jordanian citizen from the town of Al-Mughayer. He was not desperate but rather gainfully employed at a Jordanian water company. And he certainly wasn’t losing hope due to fear of having to live near Jews given that Jews are barred by law from becoming Jordanian citizens and it is next to impossible for them to buy land there at all.

But Amro must have been killed under false pretenses!

This is easily proven false by security footage that caught the attack:

Forget the footage! Amro’s brother told Ramallah radio he spoke with people who were there and he says this was all a misunderstanding since Saeed didn’t understand the Hebrew instructions the police officers gave him. You have to listen to the eye witnesses!

Well let’s see that Saeed’s brother Abdullah claims happened:

“An Israeli woman soldier of African origin shouted at him [Saeed] to open his backpack in Hebrew. My brother did not speak Hebrew and did not understand the orders. She opened fire on him shooting Saeed with eight bullets in different parts of his body,”

Saeed Amro's Knives
Amro had a knife in each hand and a third on his person. You know, just in case.

It doesn’t take a forensics expert to see that Abdullah is lying. First, the female Israeli soldier is clearly not of “African origin” (unless he meant North African, but how would he know?). Second, not only is she not shouting at Saeed, she is on the police radio at the time and looking in the opposite direction! By the time she turns around to confront him, he has a knife in each hand held above his head as he approaches her and her partner.

This just confirms what Amnesty researchers have previously admitted: that Palestinian eye witness often lie.

Ok, so maybe this one man decided to carry out an attack, but Israel is still the one rejecting peace and supporting terror while the Palestinians do the opposite. Even if the Palestinians have occasionally done some bad things, the Israelis do even worse all the time!

Such absurd accusations are easily shown to be the exact opposite of the truth. The Israeli government is on record for several years now as being prepared to negotiate with Abbas without any preconditions. However, Abbas has refused every offer, instead opting for unilateral measures at the UN and supporting the French Initiative that would impose a solution without Israel having a say in its own future. (It is possible this may have changed given recent reports of Abbas accepting a Russian offer to host direct negotiations, but we won’t hold our breath).

What’s more, one need only examine the opposite ways Netanyahu and Abbas respond to terrorist attacks committed by “their side.”

Last summer, when a Jewish terrorist carried out a horrific attack in the town of Duma, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s response was quick, emphatic and unequivocal.

This condemnation was further reinforced by then Defense Minister Ya’alon, by the leader of the left-wing opposition head Isaac Herzog, and the right-wing leader of Bayit Yehudi, Naftali BennetWhat’s more, despite the fact that at the time of their condemnations there was nothing but conjecture tying Jewish terrorists to the attack, none of these leaders used that as excuse not to denounce the attack. They didn’t say “let’s wait and see,” or, God-forbid, “this is bad but it is a natural reaction to Palestinian terrorism.” They spoke out early and clearly. They then turned their condemnations into actions as a major investigation got underway, eventually leading to the arrest and indictment of 2 Israelis charged with murder, accessory to murder and membership in a terrorist organization.

Unlike the clear and unambiguous statements and actions taken by Israeli leaders, President Mahmoud Abbas not only did not condemn Saeed Amro’s attack, he praised the attacker! In a condolence letter to Amro’s family, Abbas wrote:

“[Saeed was] a martyr who watered the pure earth of Palestine with his blood,” and expressed hope that “God would wrap the martyr in his mercy, and that he will dwell in paradise,”

Abbas v Bibi on Terror

This is how Abbas consistently speaks about terrorists who try to murder Jews. They are all holy martyrs and he has a particular love for “pure blood:”

And of course, let’s not forget the hundreds of millions of dollars earmarked for terrorists and their families in the PA’s annual budget.

This is not a religious conflict, it’s about occupation.

It is unclear to us how anyone can deny the religious nature of this conflict when confronted with Abbas’s consistent use of religious imagery and terms in praise of terrorism. Hamas is even more explicit in its religious messages of hatred and violence. It is even more difficult to explain how a Jordanian was resisting occupation.

Despite the media’s insistence that Palestinian violence is a by-product of despair and aimed at achieving statehood in “Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem,” the terrorists themselves are clear that their actions are taken in “defense” of Jerusalem.

Amro's Facebook PostSaeed’s last Facebook post (left) was of a picture of the Dome of the Rock, saying “On my way to Jerusalem, God-willing.” Last Friday, Amro prayed at al-Aqsa and later that day he died “defending” it, just like he planned, “God-willing.”

Why shouldn’t he do such a thing? Even the “President of Palestine” told him he welcomes the blood spilled for Jerusalem. Jordanian state-run media, have been calling Amro a “martyr” every since his death was first reported.

But don’t expect any of these pesky little facts to change the way the media reports. Even when an employed Jordanian is caught on film attempting to murder Jews in “defense of Jerusalem,” the media will still complain that poor Palestinians are being attacked because of their simple desire for statehood and an end to the “occupation.”

Don’t believe us? Check the Western press to see if they bothered reporting Abbas’s own words about this attack:
