Actually, Ehud Barak probably wants to keep his current job. And, all he’s doing is trying to force Olmert “off” the stage, SO THAT HE DOESN’T APPOINT A SUCCESSOR!

Here? I’d guess that behind the scenes Ehud Barak is at work “trying to get the weakest candidate to lead Kadima.” Ah. That probably would be Livni.

While Mofaz just got “blessed” by Ehud Barak, to go to America in his place. For a big pow-wow with the Bush administration. While the Bush Administration is losing steam.

If I hadn’t observed this one; that a young intern ran into the emergency room, on his first day in July, back in 1977 … to decide between two patients. One? Pink. The other, “far-shvitzed.” Alas, the patient who looked worse, whom he chose to give aid to, died because his blood pressure had already risen through the roof. And, then? He turned to the “healthier patient.” And, that patient, too, was dead.

Shows ya. Medicine can be more an art than a science.

While Olmert? He’s surviving. (Just like Bill Clinton did, when the pundits were awash with screams “for his head.” Remember Monica?) See? It doesn’t matter that you remember the pants around the ankles. And, the whole bit. Bill Clinton did not cater to the press! He found that just by standing there, and keeping his footing, he didn’t fall off the stage.

Oh, yeah. What Ken Starr did was illegal. How so? Well, he dumped grand jury testimony out into the open. Lawyers play by assorted rules. And, they can interpret those rules if they get into the top slots. Doesn’t enhance the reputations of lawyers, by the way.

Did anyone notice that Talansky was whistling some Likud tune?

Did anyone notice that there might be some holes available in that testimony he gave? For me? In other words, Talansky called in a lot of players who where willing to give Olmert money. Of course, quietly. SO no one would know. Cards were dropped onto the seats. And, when the AMerican Jews left, the cards were bent in such a way it would remind you of Yom Kippur.

As if “raising money” isn’t an art form, not only for non-profits, but for every single politician who runs for office in a democracy. It’s not even a secret.

Reminds me, too, of how American Jews used to give money to “plant trees in Israel.” Did you know some travellers actually went to Israel and asked to see the forests?

Oh, boy. What if, basically, “the diaspora” has turned out to be good for Jews? What if there’s a religious element, now in Israel, kicking open the door for Sabras to investigate living abroad?

What if American Jews look at Morris Talansky and wonder? What ever happened to ELizabeth Taylor? She once converted to Judaism. And, Morris Talansky doesn’t look like a man she’d have come across.

Ehud Barak, meanwhile, does not want to lose his “top spot.” So he talks mish-mosh. Hoping that Mofaz didn’t lock in 62,000 new members to Kadima. Which could mean? Arik SHaron wanted to end the blackmail from Likud’s Central Committee. And, now? So many people can see this hydra-head sprouting again.

As to Morris Talansky, and his story, I seem to think that Monica’s story ran for a whole year … before it became obvious Bill Clinton survived the storm.

Not too many people have the smarts and the skin to become successful politicians. But if there’s gonna be a book written on Bill Clinton’s survivor’s instincts, it will include “be happy when your enemies toss dirt. Because you can become even more famous just by standing still.”

Its great to see an intelligent athlete like Dr. J. supporting Israel.

So it is illegal now for a country to regulate what crosses its borders. Every other country in the world does the same thing, but it is only illegal for Israel.

Speaking of Illegal, Kuntar (inappropriately named as it is an insult to my favorite thing on the planet) is in Jail for murder. David, you seem to have legal expertise. How can he be legally released? Would Peres have to issue him a pardon? It would be hard to imagine pardoning a crime such as his.
On the conceptual front I have to admit being torn on this one. I think I want to see our soldiers returned safely more than the murderer rot in Jail.
