Description
Back by popular demand! It’s the Second Annual: “My HEROES Have Always Killed Colonizers: Stories of Global Indigenous REZistance”

— a night of song, words, and resistance, a celebration of every global indigenous warrior who’s been labeled a terrorist, unpatriotic, and/or savage while defending the land, the people, and our traditional ways. Through storytelling, spoken word and performance we will collectively Re-Indigenize our heroes, such as Leila Khaled, Boukman, Lapu-Lapu, Lolita Lebron, Toy Purina and Geromino so that they may claim their true role in history.

October 14, Indigenous Peoples Day, is reclaimed from the genocidal legacy of Colonizer Colombus. Join us this night, as we ask “Which colonizers have your heroes resisted?”

  1. E Pluribus Wombat

The really funny thing is that angry anarchist fight Da Power! websites that have mr Achmed the pudgy suicide bomber picture all have a headline that states and I quote “Not an incitement to violence” except of course that it is. I wrote to which ever student blog SF used to post this and asked them if they meant generally speaking that “Kill” didn’t imply violence or if they meant that killing Jews, by implication wasn’t a crime.

  2. Join us this night, as we ask “Which colonizers have your heroes resisted?”

oddly enough I don’t find any reference to the people of East Timor who had to suffer from Indonesian Occupation.
I didn’t find any reference to India (as a “hero”) either despite the fact that it along with its current nighbours first got rof off the Brtish, then had to and still has to withstand constant aggression by Pakistan and yet it managed to help secure Bangladesh’s independence from Pakistan.

That of course leads to the question why Pakistan is not listed as a coloniser…
(no, not really. We all know why certain country despite not being the friendliest to their nighbours are NOT listed as coloniser or agressor)

  3. And yet here there are in settlements on occupied aboriginal land and they all conveniently refuse to move back to their respective ancestral homelands.

    1. Palestinian Arabs are colonizers from the 7th century AD, not aboriginals. To call them indigenous is utterly laughable. Are white people indigenous to North America just because they lived here for a really long time? Get real, man.

Jews, on the other hand, emerged from the indigenous Canaanites and can trace their presence there back over 4000 years. Likewise, being displaced for a long time does not negate the indigenous status of the Jews, as they were able to maintain their culture and ethnic/blood ties to their ancestral land since displacement.

  4. Kind of wish an openly Jewish person would show up at the event and talk about how his people in their ancient homeland have fought against Philistine, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, Arab, and British colonizers (leaving out a bunch of smaller colonizers in the book of Judges). We didn’t win every battle, but by G-d’s mercy we’ve won the long war.

Something tells me the crowd wouldn’t appreciate *that* story of “killing colonizers”.

Of course, I don’t really wish it because the Jew would be in serious danger from these sociopaths.

They probably wouldn’t appreciate stories from the peoples that their beloved “resisters” colonized to begin with (like all the peoples the Arab conquerors absorbed or annihilated back in the day).

    1. What is an “openly Jewish person”? Is it something akin to “openly gay”? Or is it someone with a big hooked nose, fat lips, kippah, beard, payot, and garlic smell? Are there Jews who are more Jewish than others?

And I don’t think one has to be a Jew (I’m not, at least not according to Halacha) in order to confront those hate-filled savages. One of them has murdered one of our best sons today and ended up alive. And there is still no provision for a just punishment for such monsters in the Israeli law. So who is the oppressor here? Why the Israeli government betrays its own people and sides with the enemy? This is high treason! The people of the state of Israel is the sole and ultimate source of sovereignty in Israel. The people should not allow this injustice to last. The people should try the traitors by wartime standards. The people should overthrow this corrupt leftist collaborative government and courts. The members of this government and of these courts should be imprisoned for life for treason.

  5. Repugnant Individual identified

I believe we’ve identified the repugnant individual, courtesy of the San francisco State University School newspaper http://www.goldengatexpress.org/2013/11/08/edward-said-mural/

The photo is captioned “Hamdi Bazian holds a Palestinian flag underneath the Dr. Edward Said mural during a rally to commenmorate its anniversary. The first part of the rally was held at Malcolm X Plaza after which a procession led to the mural on North Plaza, Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 Photo by Benjamin Kamps / Xpress”
Sure looks like the same individual. What do you all think?
The next question- is he at all related to equally repugnant Hatem Bazian, who once called for an intifada in America?

  6. Follow up re: San Francisco State from the AMCHA Initiative

SFSU Student Group Activity Glorifying Murder of Jews
Sponsored by College of Ethnic Studies Initiative
Action Alert: Urge SFSU President to Publicly State Whether Antisemitic Behavior is Acceptable

For many years, the General Union of Palestine Students (GUPS), a registered and funded student group at San Francisco State University, has held on-campus events and activities with antisemitic content. Often the Arab and Muslim Ethnicities and Diasporas Initiative (AMED) in the College of Ethnic Studies co-sponsors GUPS events, such as last March’s “Israel Apartheid Week”, giving academic legitimacy to campaigns to boycott Israel and calls for the elimination of the Jewish state.

Recently, AMED co-sponsored a GUPS event that included an activity glorifying the murder of Jews.

At the event honoring Edward Said, who rose to prominence popularizing the idea that Zionists are colonizers and Israel is an illegitimate state, the GUPS students set up tables with stencils for making posters with images of known terrorists as well as with the words “MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS KILLED COLONIZERS,” which students displayed in the campus square. (See below).

AMCHA sent a letter to SFSU President Leslie Wong regarding this antisemitic activity and urged him to answer the following questions:

    1) Is it acceptable behavior for GUPS, a University sanctioned and funded student organization, to run an antisemitic on-campus activity that encourages students to glorify the murder of Jews?

    2) Is it acceptable behavior for AMED, an official academic unit, to sponsor an event that includes an antisemitic on-campus activity that encourages students to glorify the murder of Jews?

You can see AMCHA’s letter to SFSU President Wong HERE.

Please consider writing your own letter to President Wong, reiterating the questions AMCHA has posed and urging him to answer them immediately. If you are an SFSU or CSU student, relative, alumnus, faculty, staff or donor, you may want to note your affiliation with the CSU system in your letter.

President Wong can be reached at: [email protected]

  7. It gets worse. Mohammed Hammad, the president of the SFSU General Union of Palestinian Students posed with a knife and wrote in his Tumblr “I seriously can not get over how much I love this blade. It is the sharpest thing I own and cuts through everything like butter and just holding it makes me want to stab an Israeli soldier….”

    Nice.
