We’re so grateful to STING for inviting the IsraAID team working on the ground with refugees in Berlin as well as a group of young refugees themselves from Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria to a private show and sound check before his sold-out concert last night.

Goldie – IsraAID’s volunteer on the ground shares:

“This was an incredible experience for everyone. By 4 pm there were thousands of people already lined up to fill the 23,000 seat stadium. But, Sting and his band were so welcoming and took the time to get to know everyone. STING and his band heard about IsraAID’s work in helping the refugees across Europe as well as some of the moving stories of the harrowing journey refugees endured on their way to Germany. This incredible experience was all about motivating the youngsters to never give up!”

Based in Berlin, IsraAID is delivering a holistic set of programs for refugees in Germany. Our dedicated team of professional staff, local and international volunteers are providing much needed psychosocial support and trauma care to young refugees, many of whom are unaccompanied minors. IsraAID’s focus is to assist refugees with their integration process by providing German and English language support, music and art therapy as well as computer, vocational and career-development skills. IsraAID has also established ‘youth spaces’ – a safe and inspiring space where young refugees can simply hang out and enjoy recreational activities.

IsraAID truly rock.
