I am sure you have already read about the actions of Zvi Mazel, Israel’s ambassador to Sweden. Basically, he “went medieval” on a very offensive “piece of art.”
In my opinion, Mazel displayed an extraordinary amount of courage by his actions. How dare the Swedes be so insensitive as to display the offending “art.” The terrorist’s picture does not belong in an art gallery.
I will not add too much to what Imshin has already articulated so well. But I will respond to the view that Mazel should not have acted this way since it was unbecoming conduct for an ambassador. This may be true, but so is this and this. And in Sweden’s case, what was the deal with this? At least Mazel had a very justifiable reason for acting in such emotive fashion.
Public Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi has said that Mazel should be awarded a citation. Sounds like a fine idea to me.
Update: Here is where I think the terrorist’s picture belongs. At least that way, we can all show what we think of her.

Update: Some Swedes are supporting Mazel’s actions.
