Polls Apart
Over the past few years, we have seen an increased number of polls in the Jewish and Israeli newspapers, with questions such as “Which one of the following peace plans has the greatest chance of success?”, “Should Israel give up the Golan Heights for peace with Syria?” and “Should the unilateral withdrawal be put to a referendum?”
In comparison, the PLO Arab polls have been asking questions like “Who should be the target of military attacks?” and “Should the intifada be continued?”
Here is another PLO Arab poll that has been drawn to my attention (hat tip: Chaya).
One of the “interactive” projects of the Fateh website in February and March of 2003 was a questionnaire circulated by the Fateh website as to where the respondent would prefer to murder Jews – in the areas conquered by Israel in 1967, in the areas conquered by Israel in 1948, in both areas, or not in any area at all. 67% of the respondents said that they would like to murder Jews in both areas, while only 19% rejected the idea of murdering Jews altogether.
If this does not highlight the moral disparity between the two sides, I do not know what does.
