By now you have all heard about the brutal attack on the 4 American contractors in Iraq, after which a crowd of Iraqis (including children) dragged the bodies through the street, kicked and stomped on them, and suspended them from a bridge.
You have probably already seen the pictures.
And unless you are inhuman or a terror appeaser (if there is a difference), you would have felt sick to your stomach.
Some are comparing this to what happened in Somalia a decade ago, when a dead American soldier was callously dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. For me, this incident is reminiscent of the Ramallah lynching that took place almost four years ago.
I offer my condolences to the families and friend of these brave American souls. I also share Charles’ sentiments that the US should recover the bodies and severely punish those responsible. Now.
Terror must never go unpunished.
