During copulation a male red-back performs a somersault, using his sex organ as a pivot, to fling his body onto the female’s fangs so she can cannibalise him.“It’s pretty gruesome,” said Dr Andrade, of the University of Toronto in Canada.
And unlucky. If any human could do that, they would be more likely to get an Olympics gold medal in gymnastics, rather than cannibalized.
