Trouble in the Annan Household

Kofi Annan’s son, Kojo, apparently did not tell daddy the full story over his links to a company being investigated in the oil-for-food scandal.

The United Nations has revealed that the son of the secretary general, Kofi Annan, worked for a company being investigated in the Iraqi oil-for-food scandal for four years longer than he first admitted.

Mr Annan said last night he was “very disappointed and surprised” that his son Kojo had not told him the full story of his links to Cotecna in Geneva.

Kofi: I have called this special assembly of the Annan family to put forward a motion that Kojo be barred from coming over for dinner for the next month. All those in favour say “I.”

[silence]

Kofi: Ok, then. How about we all go bowling to commemorate International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People?

Update: An afterthought: given the meaning of Kofi’s name in Hebrew, it is lucky they did not name their son Koko.
