Oslo, the home of the so-called 1993 peace accords between Israel and the PLO Arabs, seems to have its fair share of hatred for Israel and the US.
You may recall my first fatwa came from there. Now, I have found this web site, which calls for people to kill George Bush.
Here is some background behind the site:
Killhim.nu returnsThe controversial web site www.killhim.nu – Kill him now – has returned to the Internet. The satirical statement by Norwegian rappers Gatas Parlament (Street Parliament) that calls for the assassination of US President George W. Bush has been shut down by police twice. In a press release Thursday, the group said that they were moving the site around different Internet servers abroad as police located and shut them down.An updated version was again working and the original content had also been posted on killhimwith.bazooka.at/once/.The group referred to a variety of possible punishments mentioned by the police in the media, ranging from 2-12 years in prison for charges of harassment to death threats, but claimed that police had never contacted them directly or questioned them. The site, which features an illustration of President Bush with a laser sight targeting his head and bears the title: Can Anyone Shoot This Man?, claims to be raising money for a bounty on the president. The highly-politicized Communist rappers have previously offended Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon (in person) and Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik. The group claim that they oppose violence but see the bounty as self-defense. They also claim that the police have no right to shut their site down and that the page has no influence on the US president’s actual safety. The site was originally also a poke at the Norwegian artistic community’s tellhim.no, which raised money for a half-page of ad space bearing a letter protesting Bush’s policies in the Washington Post.
I have also managed to track down an “anti-American” video clip from the group – you can view it here. Notice the T-shirt of the main singer – no surprises there.
Update: I have corrected the above link to the video clip.
