Close But No Cigar

Last night I watched the third instalment of The Ambassador.

[To say this show is addictive would be an understatement. And I am sure fellow Hasbara (Israel advocacy) junkies would agree with me].

Last night, both the men’s and women’s teams were given the task of creating an advertisement for promoting Israel, and then selling it to MTV Europe. MTV would choose the advertisement that they deemed better. (The winning advertisement will be run on MTV).

At one stage, the men were discussing some concepts for their advertisement. One of the men tried some verbal trickery with the word “Israel.” He began saying “Israel…..is real.”

And there I am sitting in my armchair, willing them on, saying “Is really cool..Israellycool.”

In the end, they went with the “woman-in-a-bathing-suit concept” (An oldie but a goodie).

And so went my chance for some free publicity.

Update: Harry summarizes last night’s episode, and even has links to the advertisements.
