We Believe Them…Not

You know how Iranian President Mahmoud “Gorilla Boy” Ahmadinejad stated that Israel should be “wiped out from the map”? Well, not to fear, because the Iranian Foreign Minister says it was all one big misunderstanding.

Iran’s foreign minister denied on Monday that Tehran wanted to see Israel “wiped off the map,” saying President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had been misunderstood.

“Nobody can remove a country from the map. This is a misunderstanding in Europe of what our president mentioned,” Manouchehr Mottaki told a news conference, speaking in English, after addressing the European Parliament.

“How is it possible to remove a country from the map? He is talking about the regime. We do not recognize legally this regime,” he said.

Mottaki also acknowledged the Holocaust, in which six million Jews were

killed by Nazi Germany, despite Ahmadinejad saying in December that it

was a myth.

A number of observations:

1. I am glad that the Iranian Foreign Minister recognizes that a country cannot be physically removed from the map, but since when does realism have anything to do with their plans? After all, they have been denying that the Holocaust ever occurred, while simultaneously calling for Europe to take in all the Jews.

2. I am guessing the “regime” he is talking about is the one of the Zionist variety. I don’t think the Iranian government would even accept a Meretz government. Thus what has changed? The Iranians are still threatening to wipe the Jews living in Israel off the face of the map. Small consolation that they do not plan to destroy the actual land, which I assume they want to preserve for the palestinians.

3. The following plaque was posted at the Seminar at University of Tehran, where students could sign up for suicide operations:

So I guess that Iranians also misunderstood Gorilla Boy’s words. Besides the fact that they need grammar lessons.

4. Khaled Mashaal, the Hamas leader currently in Iran, also invoked the misunderstood defence this week. Coincidence?

5. I also see smacks of David Irving in the way in which the Iranian Foreign Minister acknowledged the Holocaust.

Once the Jews are gone, they will probably notice that some of the Arabs are Christians, and slaughter them a bit.

Once the Christians are gone, they will remember that these Arabs are Sunnis, and slaughter them a bit.

  2. Myabe that plaque was just a thesis for the youngsters to prove as incorrect during the seminar (hopefully)?

    Nah…

Oh, and re that “misunderstood defence”: as you know, we have our own character here who uses his minions to convey the same message after each of his verbal eruptions. Guess who. Anyway, it is a useful policy.

  3. When did they put Israel on their maps anyway? I don’t think they ever did, so they probably couldn’t find it. Let’s just slip them a map with all their nuclear sites and Gorilla Boy’s head labeled “Israel” and let them go nuts.
