Aussie Dave’s New Computer Fund

Sorry for the relative lack of posting on the blog as of late, but my computer’s on life support, making it extremely difficult to post.

I have come to terms with the fact that I will need to buy a new one, and have decided to solicit donations from you, my  beloved readers.

Why, you may ask?

Quite simply, I spend a significant amount of time on my computer blogging. So I see my blogging activities as at least partly responsible for the current state of my computer.

Unlike many other bloggers, I actually pay for the priviledge of blogging. I pay for hosting my site, my old podcast shows, as well as some “extras” to enhance the blog. And it is not an insignificant amount.

I believe my blog provides a service. And while I am not in this game for the money (epic fail if I was), I am not averse to readers showing their appreciation for what I do by contributing to offset my expenses.

Don’t get me wrong. I am not crying poor here, or suggesting if I don’t raise the funds I will quit. I thankfully have a day job.  I am merely explaining why I would appreciate some assistance in raising funds for a new computer.

Ok, that’s enough of a preamble. If you appreciate my work and would like to help, please do so via the below ChipIn widget.
