What Once Was

The mourning members of the Fogel family, who escaped the wholesale slaughter of their loved ones, have released footage of their loved ones in happier times.

It breaks the heart to see what has been destroyed.

By the way, I think releasing this footage – as opposed to the gruesome pictures to which I was vocally opposed – shows more effectively what exactly the terrorists did and the lives they ruined.

  1. i agree with you dave

why did the ministry thinking that taking a page from the death cult that is islam, would work?

its time for a revolution in israel…the old guard has lost it

  2. I loved that video. Thanks for sharing, Dave. You could tell the little guys wanted to knock over the blocks in the worst way.

  3. Contrary to what the media would have us believe; settlers are real, normal human beings. They value the same things that any ordinary person values and a whole lot more and this video is the proof.

The murderers have shattered something unbelievably beautiful. Breathing, thinking, valuable human beings who were doing nothing other than living in the land of their forefathers LEGALLY under the conditions of UNSCR 242.

Their crime in the eyes of the perpetrator was not that they were living their lives, minding their business, playing games with their kids.
Their crime was that they were Jewish.

This video probably won't be shown on the BBC, or many other western networks. It doesn't chime with their world view of the evil, faceless 'settlers' who are only preoccupied with how they can harm Arabs. Many of their reports avoided even showing their photos so why would they show this?

How do you get a message to people who aren't willing to listen, who aren't willing to search out the truth for themselves?
    How do you humanize settlers?

  4. Dan, you make a number of good points. My take on things is a bit different than yours. I think the media presents the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict the way in which they do because it is easier than presenting the more complicated truth with historical context. It's easier to report Palestinian suffering being caused by Israeli oppression than to address the failures of the PA and Hamas leadership. Palestinians don't have a state not because of repeated failures of their side to negotiate in good faith, but because Israeli settlers illegally occupy their land. Easy enough to report it that way. All you can try to do is to tell the truth. And don't give up.
