I’m not sure whether this is deliberate or a cultural oversight. But given the fact Israeli radio plays uncensored songs on the radio at all times of the day (including the morning hours when parents are driving their young children to school), it may be deliberate.

WTF indeed.

Update: Shy Guy writes:

Unilever/Telma’s number: 1-800-780-780

Just called. They tried to excuse themselves by saying that this product appeals to young teen-age children and that’s supposed to make it OK. Unreal!

Next phone call: the Badatz’s Kashrut department: 02-670-0200. I spoke to someone who knows English. In fact, he knew just what the acronym stands for. They say it is very important to fax in letters of complaint:

Batatz fax: 02-625-4975
Pirsum Meimad (marketing co.): 03-532-8747
Unilever/Telma, email: [email protected]
