UPDATE: Through a helpful reader, I discovered that a staff member working for my host did not reactivate a file on my site when it was restored, which meant the only page accessible was my home page. That error has been corrected and the host says there now should be full access to all pages. I also insisted that my host fire the staff member, and I ensured he is banned from this site.

An 85-year-old man from Tulkarem has been convicted of killing his daughter, the public prosecutor said Wednesday.
The man killed his 55-year-old daughter on Aug. 24, 2009 in the home they shared in al-Shweka in the northern West Bank, a statement from the prosecutor’s office said.
The convicted man, who was not identified, decided to kill his daughter because he believed she was going to poison him, the court heard.
He waited for her to leave her room on the upper floor of their home, but when she didn’t come out, he knocked on her door, he told the court.
The victim opened the door but refused to let her father enter, and they began to fight. He then beat her with a wooden stick until she died, before choking her to make sure she was dead, according to his testimony.
The man then left the house and asked a pedestrian in the street to bury her for 100 shekels ($27), before going to the police station where he confessed to the killing, according to the prosecutor.
The man was initially sentenced to 15 years in prison, but the court reduced the sentence to seven-and-a-half years due to his age, among other reasons, the prosecutor said.
Now comes an exclusive report from an authoritative Israeli source with considerable military experience, that IDF military intelligence (Aman) administered a halucinatory drug to the elderly man (injecting it into his viagra pills), causing him to think his daughter was out to get him. My source tells me they targeted this man because, as an elderly man, he was an easy target.
The moral being, in this dirty game called asymmetrical warfare, Israel will play the dirtiest and do whatever it takes to make the lives of Palestinians miserable.
