Senator Lindsey Graham Is Speaking Our Language

Senator Lindsey Graham is in town and held a press conference with Netanyahu yesterday.

I particularly liked his clear statement about the difference between Israel and its enemies. Something that European appeasers don’t seem to understand or can’t bring themselves to say:

Hamas regime does everything they can to kill children.
The IDF does everything it can to avoid killing Palestinian children.
They fire rockets and hope they land in schools, you attack the enemy trying to avoid collateral damage to civilians.
The Congress clearly sees the difference between the tactics of Hamas and the democracy called Israel.
The international community seems to be of different views.

The following comments were sent to me and I agree 100% with them:

Listen to the way Graham scoffs at some inane utterance by some palestinian negotiator (0.46), and contrast that with the way EU politicians treat these negotiators as if they were honest interlocutors.
Most of all, listen to the unsaid sub-text between the two men: Graham sidesteps the US president, as if there is no such official – when he assures Netanyahu that the US Congress stands by Israel and will protect her interests, since US and Israeli interests are identical. Never before has the US president been dismissed as a complete non-entity in this way, and certainly not by a senior Congressional figure. Politicians from the opposition party traditionally abandon their differences with the president at the water’s edge, and all have heretofore treated the office-holder with deference when they travel abroad. But that is another American tradition which BHO undermined, all by himself.
There are threats from Congress for the UN too, if it oversteps its remit.
