It’s day four of Passover. Usually around now is when I start to feel like I just can’t stand the sight of matzah any more, but here in Galut we still have four whole days left. So I was overjoyed to find this super-easy recipe for Passover rolls.
Amusingly, the recipe was initially popularized by Planters, the makers of peanut oil, but rest assured, it can be made with Passover-friendly oil as well. The step-by-step is all here in this blog post (in both the original Yiddish and English) with photos illustrating each step of the way and a brief history lesson to make cooking a little bit more interesting.
Enjoy!
Peanut oil USED to be not-kitniyot (probably when the recipe was first produced) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuus5Ul6cuU
And this year, thanks to Day 7 being on Friday, we get an 8th day of matzot in Israel too.
Thank you. I’m well and truly matzahed out. Can I just check, and this is v important – is it 350 degrees Farenheit?
yes, 350 Fahrenheight. Also in the link it says that you can’t double the recipe, but you totally can, I don’t know why it says that.
