A few days ago Aussie Dave posted about an absolutely disgusting display of Jew hatred disguised as anti-Israel “protest” that struck the National LGBTQ Task Force 2016 Creating Change conference in Chicago.
Following his strong OpEd in the LGBTQ publication Out.com, prominent gay rights campaigner, massive supporter of Israel, and the nicest gay porn star I’ve ever had a pleasant bistro dinner in New York’s Soho with, Michael Lucas, has sent a generous offer out to his mailing list.
I’ve highlighted one paragraph: the point here is that this isn’t just a gay problem. The cancelling of any event because of Jew hatred is reprehensible. If societies in the diaspora can’t commit to defending their citizens from this kind of anti Jewish bigotry, those societies need to be taking a long hard look at themselves.
Holding The Task Force Accountable
Dear Friends,
I strongly believe that a lawsuit should be brought against the National LGBTQ Task Force. The leaders of this group are hoping the issue will disappear from the radar in a few days, but we should not and cannot allow that to happen.
We must set a precedent here to ensure that no other organization, gay or straight, will ever cancel an event related to Israel, or ever knowingly put Jews/Israelis in harm’s way.
I believe if we all contribute, we will have enough money for legal fees… and I pledge to organize a fundraiser and match whatever amount is collected. I hope that our friends at A Wider Bridge are actively considering a lawsuit, and I plan to coordinate with them. We must look at our history as both Jews and gays and remember that silence and acceptance of the status quo never did us any good whatsoever.
I will also cover any legal fees that should exceed the amount raised and matched.
