Back in 2019, then-journalist Jennine Khalik took exception to a blog post of mine titled ABC Australia Journalist Jennine Khalik Shamelessly Wipes Israel off the Map. In it, I pointed out how this journalist was going against her employer’s code of practice by referring to a murdered Arab-Israeli student as ‘Palestinian’, thus politicizing her murder and displaying any lack of objectivity.
Khalik did not like my post and threatened to sue me. The letter I received from her lawyer included this:
“The online article further alleges that our client is ‘supporting the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel’ by supporting the Palestinian right of return to Israel.
Our client’s tweets do not, in any manner, suggest the above conclusions that have been incorrectly drawn by you. They do no correctly reflect our client’s position.
Today we got a reminder as to their client’s position:
