A Spanish band called Tribade, which hardly anyone seems to have heard of, decided to film themselves defacing the Israeli flag at the renowned Sziget Music Festival, and post it to the Instagram stories.
The sad thing is, this isn’t even considered edgy anymore. We have gotten to the point that this kind of antisemitic behavior is considered “cool”, and the kind of thing a band looking to be edgy might do just to appear relevant.
The good news is that this crime did not pay – Tribade won’t be invited back to the festival any time soon:
And in further proof their attention-seeking stunt backfired, these ninnies have now made their Instagram and Twitter accounts private, no doubt due to the backlash they received.
Incidentally, “tribadism” is apparently a lesbian sexual practice, and their Instagram account is named Tribade.dyke, so it appears the defacers are part of the LGBTQ community. So while they write “Israel does not exist,” what actually does not exist is rights for their community in the palestinian-controlled territories. Let them try and perform there and see what happens!
