We already knew that Israel-hater Zachary Foster, aka the Pelé of kicking own goals, seems to be about as good a historian as he is a Jew.
In other words, not so much.
And we have a further indication of this thanks to this Twitter user, who pointed out how his Ph.D. Dissertation, titled The Invention of Palestine (2017), contains this off-color joke about actress Jennifer Garner in the acknowledgements:

No serious historian would speak in such crass terms, especially not in their Ph.D. dissertation. But Zach Foster seems to be no serious historian.
But if that wasn’t bad enough, Jennifer Garner was still married to fellow actor Ben Affleck in 2017, the year this dissertation was published. So at best, Foster is making a crass joke about someone else’s wife, and at worst bragging about being in a relationship with a married woman.
To be honest, I believe it to be the former, because I cannot believe Jennifer Garner would have dated Foster. She would have had to have done it for his personality, and let’s face it…
Meanwhile, I suspect if I take the time to go over his entire dissertation I may have more grist for my mill. But that will have to be a post (or two) for another time.
