Haters Try to Twist David Draiman’s Symbolic Anti-Hamas Act

Disturbed front man David Draiman has long been a staunch Israel-supporter – from well before October 7 – at much personal cost, despite always emphasizing the importance of dialogue and understanding. And while he speaks out against Hamas, he has always been careful to distinguish them and their accomplices from truly innocent civilians. More than that, one of the reasons he has been vocal about wanting Hamas’ elimination is precisely because they are responsible for destroying Gazan civilian lives and not just because they are doing it to Israelis.

As he recently told Arutz Sheva:

He couldn’t be much clearer.

So when David recently visited an IDF base, he posted a photo of himself signing bombs. And in case the intention with which he did this wasn’t clear enough, he hashtagged the photo #f*ckhamas:

Alas, the haters do not play by fair rules. Lies and deception are their stock and trade. So despite Dave’s very clear stance and his track record in promoting peace and mutual respect, the haters twisted this photo in order to paint him as a “genocide supporter.” And unfortunately, some people have lapped it all up.

Besides nasty comments under his post (which I will not publicize), there have also been articles and online forum postings condemning David. For his part, David has ignored the hate – which he is all-too-used-to after many years of advocating for Israel and the Jewish people – and has concentrated on spreading light.

If the haters think their dirty tactics will create the sound of silence from David Draiman, they are sorely mistaken.

Knowing him as I do, they are bringing a knife to a gunfight.
