Mario Reyes, Adjunct Professor at FIU, Puts Outrageous Anti-Israel Propaganda in Quiz (Updated)

A disturbing quiz given to students at Florida International University (FIU) has been brought to my attention by Israel activist and friend Uri Gobey (and confirmed by the parent of one of the students who was given the quiz).

Here are some of the more troubling questions:

To suggest Zionist groups started terrorism (question 6) , and that Israel practices terrorism (question 19) is a complete inversion of reality, and demonstrates the strong anti-Israel bias – heck, agenda – of the person who set the quiz. Question 16 likewise shows an anti-Israel bias, although perhaps more subtly, since Palestine was never a country and the Zionists did not create a new homeland; they recreated part of their historical one.

The teacher in question is one Mario Reyes, an Adjunct Professor at FIU who teaches the course DSC 4012 – Terrorism and Homeland Security.

Even more troubling, perhaps, is the fact he currently serves full-time within the US Department of Defense (according to his LinkedIn).

ironically, this is what appears near the top of the DoD’s website as of the time of this post:

Rep. Randy Fine has already promised to bring this to the attention of FIU, but we also need to bring this to the attention of the US Department of Defense.
