Going through the replay of Ecosocialism 2024: From the River to the Sea featuring unrepentant terrorist Leila Khaled, I noticed this comment by one Meredith Lawrence, which appears well after Khaled’s antisemitic, terror-supporting address.

Searching on YouTube, I discover her YouTube channel, which features one video in which she appears.

Lawrence is the manager of Fawkner Community House, “a community-led house that offers activities and events to support personal growth, foster well-being and strengthen community relationships.” And as you can see from the video and website, there are a lot of Muslim immigrants there.
The question is: am I 100% sure this is the same person who commented praising terrorist Leila Khaled?
Besides the YouTube channel matching, we can see it is her from elsewhere:
Lawrence also seems to be involved with Banyule Palestine Action Group and calls herself a “Jewish anti-Zionist.” She claims to be the daughter of a Holocaust survivor who fought for the Haganah.
So we can confirm a woman who praises an unrepentant, antisemitic terrorist also manages a house helping integrate, among others, Muslim immigrants to Australia, and whose activities include education.
What could go wrong?
Fawkner used to be a registered charity that received over 70% government funding (they have received funding from the Victorian Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship), but their status was revoked last year for not reporting. Why they did not report, who knows.
