It is no secret that when it comes to the BLM crowd, the palestinian Arabs have been in vogue and Jews on the outer.
I put it down to antisemitism within sections of the Black community, who see Jews as “White” or having benefited from “White privilege.” Part of this is from sheer ignorance and stereotypes, but a lot has to do with a concerted palestinian Arab effort to curry favor with the Black community and “turn up” for their cause in order to get reciprocity.
If you think I am being overly cynical and conspiratorial, Linda Sarsour pretty much admitted to it years ago in front of a CAIR audience:
In contrast, Jews were at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement and continue to show up in spite of the antisemitism, simply because they see it as the right thing to do, based on a tradition of helping others in need.
As a result of these palestinian Arab and Muslim efforts to curry favor, the BLM crowd have participated in Israel hate rallies and hitched their wagon to the so-called “Palestinian cause.”
But could the times be a-changin’?
In recent weeks, the anti-Israel crowd (both palestinian Arabs and ‘woke’ allies) have attacked members of the Black community for intending to vote for Kamala Harris because they see her as “part of the system.” Here are some examples:
And the response has been… delicious.
Many Black people are venting on social media, feeling used by their so-called allies:
It remains to be seen how serious this fracture truly is – it is not exactly like these folk have become pro-Israel overnight. Nevertheless, this is a welcome development and I will be following closely with the popcorn nearby.
