A few days ago I saw the following video, which made my blood boil almost more than usual since it was taken in Perth, my birthplace and where I lived almost 27 years of my life before making aliyah to Israel.
I have been sitting on the identity of the smug man in the video levelling “genocide” and “children killer” at the Jewish tourists (it was revealed to me by a friend yesterday), but I agreed to wait until the media published it.
His name is Sadee Sub Laban.
That’s right, his surname means “beneath Laban”, with Laban being an antisemite from the Jewish Bible!
But it gets better. He is a former contestant of Love Island Australia, being dumped from the villa after three days:
Not sure what the woman in the burqa thinks of this look.
But there’s more.
When he was on the show, he was subject to allegations ranging from inappropriate behavior to sexual harassment from multiple women, and a petition was created to remove him. It was reported that some women made reports to the police. Sub Laban denied the allegations:
The young Sydney-sider also revealed that the Love Island producers raised the claims with him while he was in the villa.
“I was told exactly what was happening when I was on the show,” he said. “I got no airtime from the show because the producers even started to believe this sh*t.”
“This ruined my whole damn experience.”
He then went on an angered rant, questioning the claims made against him and calling the women making the allegations “stupid.”
“They say they have videos of me. Please show me,” he begged. “Apparently, there is a video of me raping some chick. A video of me doing that. Firstly, who’s recording? And secondly, if I’m doing that, aren’t you struggling? Think about it: why would you be recording me doing that? Think about it. Youse [sic] are all stupid. The thing is no one has the common sense of a brain to figure this shit out [sic].
“Some girl tried to say that I was raping her in her house and it was getting too much so she had to ask me to leave. Who the f*ck rapes someone and then because they ask them to leave, they leave the house?
F*cking use your brains to figure this shit out. It’s not that hard… But nah, some people don’t have common sense. Everyone just agrees when a girl says something that’s it, that’s the truth. It’s not the truth.”
He then issued a warning to the women who had spoken out against him.
“For all the girls saying I sexually assaulted them, you’re next,” he warned. “I swear to god, no one is safe.”
He echoed this warning again later in the live stream, warning anyone who had come forward with allegations: “I’m coming for you. I’m coming for all of you now.”
It doesn’t seem like he was ever charged with anything in relation to these allegations, so innocent until proven guilty. But it does sound like is behavior put off a lot of women at the very least. And I can understand why:
Responding to one Instagram follower who called him out for contacting her on Instagram when she was 16, he said: ‘Just so you know, honey, 16 is legal age.’
‘You followed me and I may have replied, but it’s not illegal to reply to a 16-year-old, and secondly, you hit me up and I got that screenshot,’ he added.
Sounds like a real catch.
And it gets better (and by better, I mean worse):
An ex-Love Island star has been charged after allegedly bashing a teenager during the opening weekend of Sydney‘s Vivid festival.
Sadee Sub Laban, 20, handed himself into police after the alleged assault which left an 18-year-old man suffering multiple fractures to his face.
Laban, also a former Penrith Panthers under-20s footballer, allegedly became involved in a heated altercation with the teen while at Circular Quay just before 3.30am on Saturday, the Daily Telegraph reported.
Onlookers had to separate the pair who police say were not known to each other.
The teenager reported the incident to police and was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital.
Following a public appeal for information Laban attended St Marys Police Station on Monday afternoon and was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm.
There is also a Reddit discussion about him in which someone who knew him in high school makes further claims about his bad behavior even back then. Again, this is not proof of guilt, but at the very least does portray him as unlikeable.
For his part, Sub Laban denies he said what he did to the woman because he saw her Star of David:
I am not buying it. His video does not prove what he claims it does; you cannot hear the Jewish man say anything to Sub Laban first, and it is not clear he was staring at him and the woman in the Burqa, as opposed to something else in the distance (when I pointed this out in a comment to his TikTok video, he deleted it).
But even if was the case, how is calling them “children killers” a justifiable response? And does he really look and sound traumatized as he claims?
Meanwhile, here’s the cherry on top: According to his LinkedIn, Sub Laban has studied to become a lawyer.
Which I find hilarious, not just because of his vile behavior and trouble with the law, but his crimes against the English language!
