Back in July, I posted how Evelyne Joan, the owner of Mauro Café in Melrose California refused to allow her staff serve a visibly Jewish man wearing a yarmulke.
As I wrote at the time:
Besides this post and all the social media posts out there immortalizing Evelyne as Evil One, Mauro Café is hopefully going to suffer.
Sure, they have been described as “one of the biggest daytime scenes in Weho” and have a celebrity clientele that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Kate Hudson, Zendaya, and Sofia Richie, but I hope this will change following this exposure.
We are already seeing some celebrities indicating they will no longer patronize the establishment.
I am happy to report my wish came true.
Looks like “Keffiyeh Karen” is going to have to find a new career.
