Yesterday I highlighted some of the vile reactions by Israel-haters to the chilling comments of Bankstown Hospital nurses Ahmad “Rashad” Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh to Israeli Tik Tok “influencer” Max Veifer. Many of them explicitly claimed or implied the nurses were “entrapped” to say what they did, or otherwise tried to sew the seeds of doubt that the edited version of the video represented what really happened.
These responses echoed allegations of Abu Lebdeh’s brother:
The brother of Ms Abu Lebdeh spoke to the Daily Mail on Thursday claiming that their family had lost 70 people in Palestine and her comments on that had been edited out of the video.
“That video was a set up. You can see that it’s edited. You can see the jump cuts,” said Mohammed Abu Lebdeh.
“Sarah said those things but she was pushed. She was baited.”
NSW police requested the full video, and claimed Veifer hadn’t provided this critical evidence to them after receiving this request, something that some media outlets seized on to cast doubt on Veifer’s credibility. But as Sharri Markson of Sky News showed, they didn’t provide him with a correct email address. You cannot make this stuff up.
So Veifer has gone ahead and published the longer version online. And as you will see, it does not help the nurses’ case one iota:
After nurses Ahmad Nadir & Sarah Abu Lebdeh's disturbing comments to @max_veifer landed them in💩,police requested the unedited video. Here it is, and no-one can claim these two were "entrapped." If anything, it paints them even worse, with Nadir showing support for Hamas pic.twitter.com/KDk3Am2JE4

While Veifer’s service in the IDF is mentioned in this longer clip, he is not goading the nurses in any way. Once Veifer mentions he is from Israel, Nadir’s vile comments begin, well before this point of the clip. Veifer explains he was trying to defend his country in a war started by Hamas, which Nadir indicates is an organization he supports.
If anything, this longer version makes things worse for the nurses, who already are unable to practise nursing anywhere in Australia, in any context.
So enough of the excuses, justifications, and gaslighting. These two nurses made their bed and should now be made to sleep in it.
