There are many words I would use to describe Irish hip hop trio Kneecap.
“Evil.”
“Terror-supporters.”
“Cretins.”
One word I would not have used is “optimistic.”
Kneecap has formally requested their record label to remove their music from any streaming service in Israel.
—
On Friday, September 19, Kneecap took to X to declare, “As part of ‘No Music For Genocide,’ we have formally requested our record label, Heavenly Recordings, to remove all Kneecap tracks from DSP streaming services in Israel. Free Palestine #NoMusicForGenocide.”
As you can imagine, the four people in Israel who may have been looking forward to streaming their stuff are absolutely devastated. And I am pretty sure, they would be Arabs living in Israel who identify themselves as “palestinians.”
That’s right, we have those, and if Kneecap got their way, they would be depriving the very people they claim to be supporting of the “privilege” of listening to their “music.”
Yup, “smart” is also a word I wouldn’t associate with them.
