Brazilian DJ Juarez Petrillo, aka DJ Swarup, is another in a long line of performers on the wrong side of history. For instance, a look at his Instagram stories as of the time of this post reveals quite a few anti-Israel ones:

“So what?” I hear some of you asking. There are a plethora of anti-Israel performers, after all, and I do not post about them – let alone some obscure Brazilian DJ. So what makes his anti-Israel stance Israellycool-worthy?
Here’s why: He was playing at the Nova concert hours before the 7 October attacks, even posting on social media during them:
In June 2025, he explained his stance in an Instagram post that remains pinned to the top of his Instagram profile:
Despite being opposed to Hamas and horrified by October 7, he is picking a side – the side from whom the butchers came, no less. And bear in mind it was not just Hamas that perpetrated October 7 but also many Gazan civilians – the same civilians who never gave up the locations of the hostages, and many of whom have colluded with Hamas.
What’s more, I could not find any prominent public record of him advocating for the hostages. Granted, had he done so in Instagram stories, they would not be online anymore. But you’d think had he done so, there would be some news reports or social media posts pointing to it. And why would he make them temporary stories instead of permanent posts?
I also find it odd that his Instagram post from the Nova festival – archived here – is no longer online. I am guessing he deleted it (although his Facebook one above remains).
And let’s not forget this ingrate still roams the Earth thanks to Israeli police, who saved his sorry arse.
It takes a staggering amount of cognitive dissonance to survive a massacre, be rescued by the very security forces of the nation you are condemning, and then turn around to champion the society that bred your would-be executioners.
For Petrillo to turn around and weaponize his platform against the very country that saved him isn’t just revisionist history. It is the ultimate act of moral cowardice.
