I first met David Lange in a shule in Perth, Western Australia, our former hometown.
Actually, I’m old enough to be his father, but by chance we both made aliyah about the same time, some 25 years ago.
Like most retirees, I had time on my hands since coming to live in Israel and, having many, many years of marketing experience, I thought that blogging was worth trying.
But what I did find, was that guest blogging is not so straightforward.
Like a game of football, you had to observe the rules of the host and that boxed me in somewhat.
Then I found Dave, just by chance, and Israellycool resonated with a very positive chord.
This was the way to fight for Israel with the gloves on.
Hit ‘em hard. Tell the truth. Expose the culprits.

So, I sent Dave a note asking if he would accept a guest blog or two. By all means, came the reply.
On 23 May 2024, my first blog was published here: What is Jewish Music?
Now, 78 blog posts later(!), I’d like to say thanks to Dave for taking me on board without restrictions and with much help in presentation.
Dave has encouraged me to concentrate on history, not as far back as Moses, but predominantly since the time of Theodor Herzl and the early Zionist movements.
So, let’s get to the point of this missive.
You may like to read some of my posts. Nothing to do with self-promotion, but a little added flavour on the site from time to time might prove appealing to interested readers.
But here’s the punch line.
Dave is anxious to keep Israellycool going and even wants to expand.
Already, his support for the cause has been, and is still, being recognised and praised.
Yet, to continue in this positive and effective fashion requires additional resources and I’d like to offer a promotional opportunity for you to consider.
My suggestion to you is to sponsor one or any of my blog posts, whether published earlier or currently.
There is no limit on the number of sponsors for each post.
Furthermore, I’m more than happy to write a story about anybody you would personally like to suggest within the framework of my blogging themes.
The cost of sponsorship is $200 per post. Either with your name or business published, or anonymously. If you are interested, please email me at falstaff88 at gmail dot com.
Twenty-five years ago, Dave and I both made aliyah. Today, I am asking you to stand with us in a different kind of home – this digital battlefield where the truth desperately needs defending.
Every dollar of your sponsorship goes directly toward strengthening Israellycool’s reach and ensuring we don’t have to pull any punches. Drop me a line at the email above, and let’s make a difference together.
