In case you missed it, Friday afternoon was the opening of Berlin’s first pride parade.
That’s right, Hitler’s eternal hell just got that little bit worse.
And naturally, the Chickens for KFC were out in full force.
An incident involving several arrests occurred during a left-wing demonstration on the sidelines of Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin. Police reported on the X platform that, despite several discussions with the organizers, “prohibited slogans were repeatedly shouted” during the march in the Gesundbrunnen and Wedding districts. A spokesperson specifically mentioned the slogan “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” According to the police, hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators were present, particularly at the front of the march.

The march reached Leopoldplatz and, according to police, was ended by the organizers shortly before reaching its final destination. There, officers arrested a former participant. He is alleged to have attempted to strike officers with a flagpole during the march.
In total, police arrested nine people in connection with the march. They initiated criminal proceedings for offenses including violent crimes and propaganda.
According to the spokesperson, around 7,000 people participated in the demonstration. Titled “Internationalist Queer Pride,” it was intended to protest capitalism and colonialism.

Alas, they didn’t have to wait too long for Colonel Sanders to arrive.
At least one person has died and 16 people were injured, “some seriously”, police said, after a vehicle was driven into a crowd near Berlin’s annual Pride event, Christopher Street Day (CSD) on Saturday night.
“We believe that a vehicle entered the Tiergarten park and hit several people,” police said on social media.

Police spokesperson Florian Nath said a suspect has been identified who was known to police and “is believed to be associated with the Islamist scene in Berlin.”
In a later statement, police named 21-year-old Abdul B. as the man they are hunting, describing him as of slim build, around 1.9 meters tall, with black hair. He was wearing a black hoodie and white pants.
Police said the suspect could be “armed and dangerous” and should not be approached.
It was unclear whether there were other perpetrators. No arrests have been made yet.
Nath said a woman had died at the scene, without providing further details.
Three of the 16 injured had suffered “life-threatening injuries,” Nath told reporters.
The city’s fire department said eight people were seriously injured, with five sustaining minor injuries.
