The following image and caption has been doing the rounds in the anti-Israel space:
This image is as real as… Palestina.*
The first clue: the book title. It is gobbledygook, with the third word being indecipherable. It looks a bit like “woke”, but that would not make sense in light of the last three words. I am willing to bet the title is the result of an AI-glitch.
After spotting this oddity, the next step was a reverse image search. It did not disappoint. I located the earliest version of the photo – from 2014 – on Reddit.
I actually suspect whoever created this version of the image meant it as a parody, to poke fun at the “woke” supporters of terror. And the supporters of terror – woke or otherwise – were quick to spread it as truth, as if it came directly from Mount Sinai.
Alternatively, someone on their side deliberately created it to mislead, and it, of course, was disseminated by those who hate truth almost as much as they hate Jews.
Whether this was created to mock them or manipulate them, the result is the same: anti-Israel accounts saw something that confirmed what they wanted to believe and enthusiastically shared it without spending 30 seconds checking whether it was real.
Because it is a day ending in ‘y’.
