Nasser Mashni Attacks Israelis for Rejecting the Two-State Solution He Rejects

Israel votes tomorrow, and Australia’s resident “anti-Zionist, definitely not antisemite” Nasser Mashni has a hot take: swap out Netanyahu and nothing changes, because the other parties don’t want a Palestinian state either.

It is no secret that most Israelis oppose the establishment of a palestinian Arab state. Heck, after October 7 who can blame us? According to a recent Gallup Poll, only 26% of Israeli support a two-state solution. If Mashni would like to use this to somehow show how we are all evil, good luck with that. The same poll showed how only 32% of palestinian Arabs living in the so-called West Bank and East Jerusalem support it, and one could assume the numbers are even lower in Gaza.

If opposing a Palestinian Arab state makes Israelis evil, then by his own logic most palestinian Arabs are evil too. But of course, that is not the standard he applies. For Mashni, Israelis are guilty for wanting to survive; his side is merely “resisting.”

In fact, Mashni himself opposes two states. More to the point, he opposes any solution that involves a state of Israel existing in any form. He advocates for the destruction of the Jewish state, and in its place a Palestinian state. Of course, Mashni insists that in his one-state utopia, Jews and Arabs alike would enjoy equal rights and freedoms. You’ll forgive me if I’m not rushing to take his word for it – October 7 was a preview as to what would happen if the palestinian Arabs were in charge, and we all know how he celebrated events of that day.

Ahh, the chutzpah of a guy who supports terrorism and once chased a child, beat him with a wooden axe handle, shoved him into the boot of his car and drove him to an abandoned paddock where he threatened to break his legs, lecturing others on the “evils” of Zionism.

But sure, Nasser. Tell us again how Zionism is the real moral failing.
