Yesterday being October 7 was a particularly difficult day for Jews around the world and for me personally. While I did post a fair bit on social media (including this mini rant), those of you who only follow my work here may have noticed I did not publish any posts.
This was the result of my being occupied with my part-time job for HonestReporting (for whom I did write a piece), after which I was too emotionally exhausted to write anything else.
Be that as it may, I did pay attention to many of the vile things coming out from the Israel-haters. Here are some examples just as a reminder as to the evil we are dealing with:
People literally dressed up as Hamas terrorist at the free Palestine rally today in October 7. “It’s just peaceful protests, we don’t support terrorists…” Stop lying https://t.co/ByZiKSvBcf

THREE YEARS LATER… and New York is letting them march on the anniversary of the massacre. 🚨 Not a vigil. Not a moment of silence. A full takeover of Lower Manhattan streets — on the exact day families are still grieving the people butchered in their homes and at a music festival. 💔 A sign in City Hall Park called October 7 “Liberation in Action.” Read that again. Palestinian flags. Face coverings. Banners claiming “3 years of genocide” and “78 years of resistance.” Chants celebrating what happened that day while the victims’ families still wait for hostages and answers. 🚩 This is what happens when far-left leadership refuses to draw a line. They get the streets. The rest of us are told to look away. Never forget October 7. Never let them rewrite a massacre as liberation. Who else is done watching this? 👇

DISGUSTING: Masked Muslims are outside City Hall in New York performing Quranic rituals, openly celebrating the October 7 massacre and calling for more jihad. Everyone there should be treated as a dangerous and imminent threat. https://t.co/OC7Ej1TGrI

🇺🇸🇵🇸🗽⚡️- Mayor #Mamdani, attending an #October7th unity vigil for victims of the #Hamas invasion of Southern #Israel and Gazan’s in the war that followed, was shouted down by pro-Palestine activists. Chants were heard saying: “Traitor, traitor, come on out! You sold all your people out!” “We don’t care about where you’re from. You cannot talk about being #Muslim anymore. You cannot weaponize being brown anymore. Identity politics can only get you so far.” Mamdani did not speak at the event.

Aviv Hummus Bar, a kosher restaurant in Seattle, vandalized on October 7. It’s 4 blocks from Cal Anderson Park, where an anti-Israel campus walkout march, organized by groups with histories of vandalism and assault, is set for noon today. Will @SeattlePD protect the "summer of love" neighborhood this time around?

Footage from Whitehall shows pro Palestine protesters pushing and fighting with Metropolitan Police officers on the anniversary of the October 7 attacks. In Gosport, local people protesting small boat landings were met with a town wide dispersal order, a face covering ban and 12 arrests. Ordinary Britons get the full force of the law. Mobs marching on the anniversary of a terror attack get a set route and an escort. @TalkTV

Melbourne has fallen. On the third anniversary of the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, I walked into a vigil for Hamas ‘martyrs’ as a proud Australian Jewish journalist. Attendees turned violent. But instead of arresting the violent terror supporters, police threatened to arrest ME. One cop even grabbed me by the neck and said, ‘I live in Caulfield North [Jewish neighbourhood]… I’ll f**king see you around.’ I had SIX bodyguards with me today. I needed every one of them. Security costs thousands every time we hit the streets. Help me keep doing this: https://t.co/iT0QfjLqoc Full video tomorrow.

This is the reality Jews everywhere are forced to live with right now: mourning our murdered while simultaneously watching the mob celebrate our tragedy and wish for more of the same.
What a chilling reminder of the utter depravity we are up against.
And when I say “we”, I don’t just mean Israel and the Jews.
I mean the entire free world.
