Israeli News Briefs

  • Following yesterday’s assassination of anti-Syrian cabinet minister Pierre Gemayelin, Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora has pledged not to allow “the murderers control the fate of Lebanon and the future of its children.” Unless, of course, the murderers attack Israel again; then it’s ok.

  • Yaakov Yaakobov has become the latest victim of the deadly Kassam attacks on Israel, which show no signs of slowing down.

  • Despite almost getting up close and personal with a Kassam, Louise Arbour, the UN Commissioner for Human Rights, shows that the word “Human” in her job title does not include Jews.

  • UNIFIL has reportedly finally done something useful.

  • It looks like an Al Qaeda vs Hizbullah smackdown is looming. Here’s hoping they wipe each other off the map.
