Perhaps we can forgive the Reuters caption writer for thinking the Israelis are praying, although they are clearly not since the books they are reading from are not prayer books, but rather Talmuds.

However, does he/she really think these are men and not youth or boys?

(honorary hat tip: Soccer Dad, who sent me a mail pointing this out after I had already seen it myself)

Update: Here’s an example of Reuters doing the opposite (from a few years ago)
