Palestinian Child Abuse: Automatic Weapon Edition

Just a young child holding an automatic weapon.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

A young Palestinian Hamas supporter holds an automatic rifle and a copy of the Quran, Islam’s holy book, during a rally by the group in the Jebaliya refugee camp, northern Gaza Strip, Friday, March 14, 2008. U.S. President George W. Bush’s Mideast peace monitor sat down with Israeli and Palestinian representatives for the first time Friday since talks formally resumed nearly four months ago, but the atmosphere was clouded by what some Palestinians viewed as an Israeli slight. The only thing more amazing than a young child holding an automatic weapon is the fact this picture is accompanied by a caption not describing it as a “toy.”

Then again, the sad thing is there really is nothing amazing about a young palestinian holding an automatic weapon.

Update: I would have brought out the flying pig on account of the weapon not being called a “toy,” but he would likely have been shot down by the gun-toting palestinians.

Drawin gof Mohammed with bomb on turban = not ok.
Koran in one hand and assault rifle in the other = very ok.

    I’m confused.

It just occured to me that Hamas do a lot of merchandising.

If we stopped the import of green material, they’d be done for. They’d have to rebrand, costing them thousands and theres always the chance that ‘hamas red’ wouldn’t catch on.

    Don’t think hard, think smart.

On the serious side how is this never condemned? If we let Israeli 10 year olds out onto the streets with Uzis and M-16s the press would have a field day.

The double standards they have are based around what they deem ‘normality’ between two different sets of people that say should live in peace, yet the standards they want to set each of them are so vastly different.

And no-one can see why it might not work. hmmmm.
