The Palestine News Network reports on the death of a “youngster”, who they claim was run over by a “settler car.”
On Tuesday 12th March, a youngster from the village of Qarawa Bani Hassan, west of Salfit, died of injuries sustained after he was run over by settler’s car Saturday near Burqan Settlement built on the lands of Salfit Governorate, north of the West Bank.
And how old was this youngster?
Palestinian sources said that the 28-year-old Zaid Ali Rayan, father of two, has been martyred in Ichilov Hospital in Israel.
I guess they’ve been schooled by Reuters.
Notice also where he “martyred.”
In the meantime, I’d also treat the claim he was run over by a “settler” with extreme caution.

Let me understand this – is there any way for an Arab to die that’s not considered martyrdom? Is it that martyrdom brings the promise of 72 virgins and normal death doesn’t? Are the Syrian dead all martyrs, or do only the first 100 matter.
