High Performance Israelis

18

While our enemies are slowly bringing death and destruction to the world, Israelis are making positive contributions in all spheres, including business and technology. This is highlighted by two pieces of recent news. About a month ago, Israeli Amnon Landan of Mercury Interactive was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Forbes. Now, Israeli Shai Agassi of SAP has topped the Time/CNN Global Business Influentials list.

This is amazing considering Israel’s tiny size. But when you also consider the obstacles that Israelis face (such as compulsory military service that postpones their university education, and the fact that they do not speak mother-tongue English), these accomplishments are even more impressive. Well done!
